The station opens onto Haridwar Road and Gandhi Road, both of which feed straight to the Clock Tower where Rajpur Road, Chakrata Road and Haridwar Road all meet — so the whole city is reachable within a few turns. The Clock Tower is about 1 km away and ISBT roughly 6 km out toward Saharanpur Chowk for the Delhi and Haridwar highways. The catch is that this is the densest part of Dehradun: Paltan Bazaar and the station approach choke up through the day, so it's worth heading out early or routing around the old-city core. Once you clear the centre, Rajpur Road north and the Haridwar bypass south both run cleanly.
